Máirin Mc Aleenan was the star of the county Down when she scored 2-8 as Down overcame Tyrone 5 -26 to 1-2 in the Ulster Junior championship semi-final in Clonoe,Tyrone.

Try as they might the scores were not going up on the board for the Tyrone girls and the match was over at half time as the girls from the Mourne mountains led 3-15 to 0-2.

Tyrone's late consolation goal came at the final minute from Denise Daly. Down now meet Derry in the Ulster final.
