| With the All-Ireland Hurling
final over, thoughts have turned this week to
the All-Ireland Camogie Finals this coming Sunday
at Croke Park. While the attention of the southern
media will naturally focus on the Senior Final
between Cork and Tipperary, Junior Finalist Down
are themselves the centre of attention in Ulster.
The BBC screened a feature on
the team during the Hurling Final half-time interval.
This was recorded at a training session the team
took with the camogs of Bredagh's (Belfast) U10
squad last week. There'll be another chance to
see the Down girls when they are again scheduled
to be on the BBC. This time they'll be on the
BBC 1'S 'Newsline 6.30' programme.
Down are also due to feature
at some stage this week on UTV. It's believed
that this will be on Thursday on 'UTV Live' at
either 5.45pm or 6.15pm.
Also, while Down Camogs have
been regulars in the sports pages of late, a number
of the players will be seen in the fashion section
of the Irish News this week - proving the 'chicks
with sticks' are very much in vogue!
