With
just over a week to go before Down's All-Ireland
Camogie final with Cork at Croke Park on Sunday
19th September the Down County Board has been
working away feverously to have everything set
for the trip to Dublin, and according to Down
Chairperson Ben Fox, preparations are just about
complete.
"The
County Board has had a small team working away
in the background and basically they have looked
after all the arrangements as far as the team
are concerned, from the hotel to travel arrangements,
to ordering gear, sponsorship agreements and deals
as well as dealing with the media. I have to say
it has taken a lot of pressure off the County
Board. From what the group told us at the County
Board meeting last week, preparations are virtually
complete ahead of the final."
At that meeting it was announced that Down Camogie
had secured a footwear and kit deal but details
are being kept to a minimum ahead of an announcement
in the week of the final.
