Down play Armagh on Sunday 27th February in Ballyholland
at 1pm. This is the 1st fixture in the National
League. Last year Down lost 1 game in there campaign
which meant that they didn't make to the play-off's.
Down beat Armagh last year in the championship
and went on to reach the All-Ireland finals. With
many new players having joined the majority of
last years players there is a good squad currently
training under the new managment team and they
will have a hard job selecting a team for Sunday.
The county junior team have been
nominated for the Newry & Mourne Council team
of the year the awards cermony will take place
on Thursday 3rd March in the Canal Court Hotel.

McGourty on being selected on the Ashbourne All-Stars
team on Sunday last the Ballycran player was part
of the Jordanstown team.
Success breds success and in
Down camogie this is very true this season sees
a record number of teams competing in the 4 new
look leagues and some teams have entered a 3rds
team also the under-age competions welcome a few
new teams.
Nominations are currently being
sought for the Golden Cow Youth Games there are
2 venues in Down this Downpatrick & An Riocht
this is a competition for girls U-15 and forms
can be obtained from clubs or schools.
