Bryansford celebrations 30/10/2007
BRYANSFORD are certainly looking to the future, despite the fact that they were relegated to Division Two for next season. However their celebrations will be all about the past. Next April the club will hold a black tie affair in the Slieve Donard Hotel to celebrate all the club’s adult championship successes over the past half century. A special sub-committee has been set up to plan for the event.

Ballygalget and Bryansford to represent Down in Ulster 15/10/2003
With Ballygalget capturing the senior hurling title last Sunday, Down's two representatives in the Ulster club championships are now known. Ballygalget will have a very tough task in their opening match in Ulster when they play Antrim champions and last year's All-Ireland Club finalists Dunloy. The game is fixed for Sunday week October 26th with the Ulster final the following Sunday. Bryansford will play in the Ulster club football championship for the first time in 26 years. Their first opponents will be new Derry champions Loup also on Sunday 26 October. Both teams had similar shock wins in their county finals, Loup against Ballinderry and Bryansford against Mayobridge.

Kilcoo win sevens event 18/05/2003
Kilcoo defeated Bryansford in the East Down Feis senior sevens final at Ballykinlar on Sunday. Only five of the eight teams listed turned up for the competition. Downpatrick, Carryduff and Kilclief failed to put in an appearance and are certain to be fined heavily by the East Down Board. Kilcoo now go forward top the county Feis finals at Newcastle on June 1.

Mayobridge back on winning ways 03/05/2003
The Mayobridge senior team got back on the winning trail with a victory over Bryansford at Newcastle last night. A powerful second half display saw the Sky Blues victorious on a scoreline of 1 -13 to 0-5 with Adrian Barry getting the goal. On Thursday night the bridge Under 16's Trecorded a big win over Attical. The 'Bridge were virtually in control from start to finish and finished up very comfortable winners, 6-13 to 2-5. On Wednesday, the bridge U-14 footballers entertained Ballyholland in the league and after a poor first half display, which saw them trailing by 14 points at one stage, the young Sky Blues staged a remarkable second half recovery to almost snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Ballyholland held out for victory by 4 -11 to 4-8.

Bredagh U12s keep up winning ways 12/05/2003

Last year, onlookers were taken aback by Bredagh's victory in Newcastle. Now that they have done it again, it is clear that Bredagh has a production line of excellent young players and teams that can compete with the best in the county. Conor McCloskey, Ruairi Johnston at midfield, and man-marker Damien Moreland were just three of the stars who prevailed in poor conditions to maintain Bredaghs U-12s unbeaten record. Bredagh now top the Section with five wins out of five

Rostrevor win Peter Walsgh Tournament 23/04/2003
Rostrevor ran out comfortable winners over Castlewellan in the final of the Peter Walsh Tournament on Easter Tuesday at Bryansford. This is Rostrevors third win in a row. Rostrevor over came Bryansford in the semi finals while Castlewellan overcame All Saints Ballymena.

U-13 -League: 28/04/2003
The U-13 league is near completion with the final scheduled for Sunday 4th May. The semi-finals were keenly contested affairs with Burren getting the better of Bryansford and Saval edging out Bredagh to set up an all Newry showpiece. At the time of writing the venue has yet to be confirmed.
