DOWN minor champions Rostrevor have their first outing in the Northern Bank-sponsored Ulster minor football tournament organised by the St Paul’s Club, Belfast, on Sunday, December 16. Their opponents will be Monaghan champions Scotstown. The game is timed for 12pm.

Major celebrations 23/10/2003
: The whole Village of Rostrevor resounded to the celebrated homecomings of the jubilant Minor team on Sunday past, when the Rostrevor Minors brought home the Collie Curran Cup as County Down Minor Champions.
St Bronagh's was packed to capacity with well wishers who wanted to pass on their congratulations to the successful management team of Eugene Reilly, Eugene Cole, John Haughian and Colm Fitzpatrick.
A special screening of the game was held in St Bronagh's at the weekend when friends, families and supporters watched the game again with even more enjoyment than the first time, safe in the knowledge that they could not lose!

These two teams are running away with the AC U16 league and a huge crowb attended to see this top of the table clash. At times in this game An Riocht overran the Reds' rearguard and should have been further ahead. At half time the scores were level 1-06 to 0-9, with Martin Clake scoring the An Riocht goal. An Riocht as they did in the first half started the brighter scoring six points without reply. On the 53rd minute Darren Cunningham scored An Riochts second gaol to put An Riocht ahead 2-12 to 0-09. An Riocht lost their concentration in the final ten minutes and Rostrevor scored two goals to leave a nail bitting few minutes for the An Riocht side.

Rostrevor ran out comfortable winners over Castlewellan in the final of the Peter Walsh Tournament on Easter Tuesday at Bryansford. This is Rostrevors third win in a row. Rostrevor over came Bryansford in the semi finals while Castlewellan overcame All Saints Ballymena.

Rostrevor Golf Classic hit by the weather 14/05/2003
The recent Rostrevor Golf Classic held at Kilkeel Golf Club was the victim of the most horrendous weather over the Easter period. By the afternoon the sun had at least peeped through and so the teams who participated, were able to finish in relative comfort. In total, 31 members braved the inclement conditions and the course was in relatively good condition, resulting in some very good scores.
Winners of the Low Section (0-17) were Ronan McGrath, first and Kieran Caldwell, second. Paul Gannon was first in the Middle Section (18-26) and second place went to Micheal Farrell.
The High Section (27-over) winner was John Parr, with Kevin Cole achieving second place. Nearest to the Pin was Ann Marie Reilly.
