Ballyvarley Hurling Notes

            The Ballyvarley under 16s found out this week the date for their championship match against Warrenpoint. This preliminary round game is on Saturday 23^rd September at 5pm in Warrenpoint. The Ballyvarley/Ballela minors play the same opposition in Ballela on Monday 28^th August at 6.45pm.

The Ballyvarley under 14 hurlers play their last league game at home to Ballela on Wednesday 23rd August with a 7.15pm throw in. Players are asked to meet in Ballyvarley at 6.30pm.

The under 10 and 12s now train on Fridays from 7.15pm to 8.30pm at Newbridge Integrated College, Loughbrickland. The under 12s have been playing well recently notching up wins over Ballela, Clonduff and a good one point win over Kilclief on Saturday despite having a weakened team.

            The Ballyvarley seniors will continue to train every Sunday at 12.15pm. The seniors have one league game left at home to Clonduff. This is yet to have a date fixed. They follow this with a Junior Hurling Championship semi-final. This game is fixed for Saturday 9^th September against Portaferry who recently overcame Ballycran in the quarter final.
