Annaderg U-14 Footballers made
the long journey to Glassdrumman
on Monday 19th past where they established
a convincing win of 8-14 to 5-2.
From the start David Potts and Shane
Donnelly at mid field took control
of the game supported very well
with the intelligent play from Rory
McShane and Marl McElory.
Supplied with good dominate possession
Chris McAvoy, Noel Doyle and Nial
fegan applied their considerable
skills to dismantle the Glassdrumman
defence. Well before the half time
period full forwards Ciaran Greenan,
Neil Rooney and Dominic Doyle had
the game beyond their opponents.
The back line of Lennon, McNeil,
Burns & Doyle assisted by Ryan
Strain in goals dealt with the attacks
that came their way.
At the start of the second half
Michael McGrath,Tony Monaghan, James
McAvoy and Brandon Squire were introduced.
All played well thereby increasing
the pressure for places for the
next game in the championship against
Ballyholland.
The team continues to improve however
the defence must stop conceding
goals as better teams will punish
this weakness in the future. We
all look forward to competing against
the stronger teams in the championship.
