Annaclone 2-12 Warrenpoint 0-07

Annaclone defeated Warrenpoint on Friday night in Gaelic Park in a dull encounter. Two frees from Colm Fegan opened the scoring and Dan McCusker added another with a great catch and score on the turn. The ‘point replied with two frees before Seamus Quinn grabbed a great goal with an overhead punch from all of 20 yards. After another point free Annaclone added three unanswered points from Martin Farrell (2) and Colm Fegan.

The ‘point added two frees just before the whistle. Colm Fegan added a free just after the break and then latched onto a break from Gerald Fegan and slammed to the net. Dan McCusker added another point shortly after and Annaclone sailed home from here. Martin Farrell and Dan McCusker added a brace of points apiece to finish the game off in style, Dan grabbed a score from a near impossible angle and Martin drove one over from distance just to add the finishing touch.
