Premier Reserve
Championship: Annaclone 0-08 Kilcoo 2-19
Annaclone reserves fell to a heavy
defeat on Sunday in the reserve
championship to a very good Kilcoo side.
Kilcoo started like a whirlwind and had
several goal chances in the first 10
minutes but were kept at bay through
some good goalkeeping and mostly good
fortune, with Kilcoo missing a penalty
early on. Annaclone started to find
their feet after 10 minutes with a point
from Dan McCusker and Paddy Fegan
grabbing two points on his comeback.
Kilcoo went from strength to strength
and completely dominated the game with a
young side competing for places in their
first team and could have won by more
only for some wayward shooting. There
were some good points to Annaclone’s
performance; the defence did well
considering the pressure they were put
under, while Sean Pyers and Kieran
McGrath battled tirelessly, Dan McCusker
looked sharp throughout and Paddy Fegan
did well on his return, while Davy
Armstrong grabbed his first score in an
Annaclone jersey with a fine point from
thirty yards out.
