Gaelic football teams who train and play at Annsborough pitches will have to make alternative arrangements this weekend after serious vandalism to the surface.
Two joyriders were responsible for damaging the pitch last Wednesday and the repair bill for Down Council could reach £2,000.
Deep tyre marks were left in the wet turf as the cars, believed to be stolen, were continually driven in all directions over the pitches.
