Gaelic Games Tournaments at Dunavil in July.

The annual tournament programme gets underway on Saturday 3rd July with the staging of the Jim Mulholland Memorial Cup U10 eleven-a-side football competition. Each team is guaranteed four games and there is a subsidiary Shield competition.

Then on Saturday 10th July it’s the Brian O’Hare Cup for U12 nine-a-side football teams. Again in a tightly run programme each team plays a minimum four times and there is a Shield event.

On Saturday 17th July it’s the Paul Farrell Memorial Cup for U14 seven-a-side football teams and again each team is sure of several matches in either the Cup or Shield competition.

There are still some places left in various of the tournaments. Each days football throws-in at 10:30am and the finals are scheduled for 3:30pm. It all runs pretty much to schedule with no long breaks between games. Refreshments are provided for teams and accompanying adults. Entry fee is $25.

Then on Saturday 31st July it’s the turn of the camogie players with the Patsy Conkey U14 Cup and the Sharon Morgan Memorial minor (U16) Cup competitions. Both are seven-a-side and run on the same pitches. There is only room for eight teams in the camogie and there are still vacancies to be filled. There is no entry fee.

To enter any or all of the football or camogie summer tournaments at An Riocht telephone the Club on 028 417 63681;
