The ‘Let Me
Decide’ project continues this
Wednesday from 8:30pm.
Glasgow
Exchange
A group of
senior members and youth leaders
spent three days in Glasgow over
last weekend as part of the
Inclusion for Marginalised Youth
‘Let Me Decide’ programme
attending KelvinGrove art gallery
and museum, participating in a
work shop around sectarianism with
hosts Tir Conaill Harps
facilitated by Glasgow City
Council and a community relations
worker from Sense over
Sectarianism, played a match at
Carta Rugby grounds, attended a
match at Celtic Park, visited
Ibrox Park, and spent free time at
Time Capsule Leisure Centre.

This week
should finish this phase of the
grounds development. The stands
were lifted into place on Saturday
past.
Coaching
Foundation
(Basic) Coach courses in Camogie
and in Football will be taking
place shortly. This would be a
necessity for anyone who has not
already completed one before and
might also be a useful refresher
course for all our coaches. It
includes Child Protection and best
Coaching Practices.
This is an
ideal opportunity for you to get
involved and help with activities
at KYC or with An Riocht teams.
Give your name in now! Forms were
distributed at all practices last
week.

Thursdays at 7pm, U12 Thursdays at
6pm, U14 Wednesdays at 7pm, U16
Thursdays at 8pm, U18 Thursdays at
9pm. Camogie practices are on
Tuesdays – U10 & U12 at 6pm, U14
at 7pm, U16 at 8pm and U18 &
Junior at 9pm.
Youth Club
KYC relies on
offers of assistance from
volunteers to deliver our
programme of activities. If you
can give as little as one hour a
week for supervision or to help in
the shop or if you have a knack
for any particular activity
whether sporting or in arts &
crafts and are willing to help,
please get in touch. It can be
difficult to make that first
approach but feel free to call or
drop in without obligation to
Dunavil any time. We need your
help!
Orienteering
An introduction
to the sport for those aged 10+
with events graded as Junior,
Intermediate and Senior. The next
takes place in Gosford Forest Park
on Saturday 10th March.

The Forum
continues to meet on Thursday with
Andrew, Daryl, Conor and Leanne
taking part.
Question Time
SELB have
organized a ‘Question Time’ with
local politicians in Armagh on 14th
March at 7pm. The theme is ‘Our
shared future’ and transport will
be arranged for any senior members
of KYC interested. Early booking
advised.
Disability
Inclusion
NMDC have
sponsored two courses for local
clubs on Monday 5th
March and Sunday 15th
April aimed at youth leaders, team
coaches and administrators to
provide practical aids to
inclusion and participation. More
information from the Club.
Variety Show
South Down
Association of Youth Clubs Variety
Show takes place in February.
Singers, dancers, musicians,
novelty acts etc can take part.

Womens Group
KYC invites
females aged 13+ to a ten week
course in the new fitness suite at
Dunavil on Thursdays from 7:30pm
to 8:30pm incorporating
recreational aerobics and
instruction on the use of
cardiovascular & resistance
equipment including treadmills,
cycles, rowers, steppers, cross
trainers and free weights.

Down Dogs
Tickets for the
Down GAA Night at the Dogs on 17th
March are available from the Club.
Arts & Crafts
There will be
weekly arts & crafts at KYC on
Wednesdays from 7pm to 8:30pm
including funky t-shirts,
jewellery making, Valentines
decorations, St. Patricks Day
cards, Easter craft decoration
etc.

classes on Mondays from 8pm to
9pm. All welcome to give it a try.
Fundraisers
There are a
variety of fund raising schemes
available at the Club, certainly
something for everyone to show
their support. There is Sunday
Bingo and Monday Lotto, Gaelic
Telecom and Gift-Aid, Clothes
Collection and of course
membership subscriptions. Remember
keep those old clothes, we will
take them of you.

Can you spare
your old, unwanted all types of
clothing, paired shoes, all
household textiles, bed linens,
curtains, towels, etc.
Every bag
collected results in a donation to
the Clubs Youth section.
