* The Senior Football match v Loughinisland at Dunavil finished in a draw. An Riocht got off to a good start leading three nil early on and responded to a Loughinisland rally with the first goal. An all too rare early ball in was flicked to the net by John Clarke and An Riocht led 1-4 to 0-3. However by the break there were only two points between the teams. An Riocht stretched that to four points by the three quarter mark but four visitors points leveled and were followed by a Gareth Johnstone goal as An Riocht faded in midfield and struggled to cope with substitute Johnstones height and strength up front. A goal behind Aidan Cunningham pulled a point back and then Paddy Cole punched to the net leaving Island to grab a late equalizer. Scorers P Cole 1-3, J Clarke 1-2, A Cunningham 0-2, J Cunningham 0-2, J Colgan 0-1. Best wishes to Paul for a speedy recovery from a nasty facial injury.
* In the Seconds football match v Clonduff at Dunavil, An Riocht recorded a good win by 1-12 to 0-9. An Riocht led two nil early on but allowed Clonduff break from defence and go six four ahead before steadying things by the break and finishing the half on level terms, 0-6 apiece. On the restart An Riocht carried the game to Clonduff and led throughout the half though Gavin made a couple of good saves and Jim and Sean both took the ball off the line on separate occasions. The introduction of Gary Cunningham and Paddy Gartland made a big difference to An Riochts fortunes with Gary winning lots of ball in the middle third and Paddy always showing for the ball in attack and capping a good display with a well taken goal after great persistence to win the ball in the first place.

* At the U12 Football in Mitchels An Riocht retained their unbeaten record by virtue of a 5-10 to 3-3 victory. At half time An Riocht led 2-5 to 0-1 and though Mitchels put it up them on the restart, after the second thirty minutes An Riocht had still outscored them by three points for an overall thirteen point success. Patricia Clarke, chair An Riocht Camogie, made a presentation to Molly Tilton and Erin Brien joint captains of the Newton team.

* At the Castlewellan U12 tournament An Riocht exited at the semi final stage. Before that we beat Mayobridge 2-4 to 1-4 (they went on to win the cup), beat Liatroim 3-3 to 1-7 (they went on to win the Shield), lost to Carryduff 1-7 to 3-2 and beat Burren 0-9 to 0-7. In the semi final against Bryansford the teams finished level at 1-5 each, then 2-5 each after extra time before An Riocht lost out in a penalty shoot out.

* At Longstone U8 Tournament also on Saturday An Riocht reached the final. In the group stages An Riocht played Clonduff, Glasdrumman, Longstone, Atticall and Bryansford.
