* Thanks to all who helped with the Jim Mulholland tournament on Saturday. It was a fabulous day. The weather was good, thirty teams participated, over one thousand players, coaches and supporters crowded into Dunavil to see eighty eight games of football on six pitches over five hours before Lurgan sides Clann Eireann (Cup) and Clann Na Gael (Shield) took the honours with respective runners up Carryduff and Mayobridge.

* The U8 footballers attended the Kearney Cup tournament in Ballyholland on Sunday losing to the hosts in the Final and enjoying games v Mayobridge, Saval, Harps and Shamrocks on the way.

* The U10 footballers played St Brigids, Downpatrick, Ballyholland and Clann Na Gael in their section of the Jim Mulholland Cup before progressing to meet O’Donnells, Atticall and Mayobridge in the Shield. Best wishes to Shane Cunningham who suffered a broken wrist during the tournament.

* The U18 football game with Rostrevor took place on Saturday evening and a real goal fest it proved with An Riocht coming out the right side of a 2-21 to 4-11 result. * In U14 football Declan Doyle took part in the Down Skills competition at the weekend.

* The Junior Camogs beat Ballygalget at Dunavil by 5-11 to 2-3 to win the league. An Riocht were content to take their points in the first half with Sophie Colgan claiming all five scores. After Laura Brennan fired over two on the restart the goal glut began with Sophie (2) and Laura (3) sharing the majors and Niaomh Mulhern grabbing the score of the game after good play from Nicole Kelly and Lisa Hughes. Scorers S Colgan 2-7 L Brennan 3-2 N Mulhern 0-1 L Hughes 0-1.
* In the Junior Camogie Championship Final in Atticall, An Riocht beat Longstone by double scores 2-10 to 1-5. Hesitant play before the break resulted in An Riocht trailing 1-3 to 0-5 despite having the lions share of possession. On the restart An Riocht played with the flair which has been a hallmark of their season and after two quick Niaomh Mulhern goals had settled the girls they went on to dominate to the finish. * The Thirds footballers beat Glasdrumman to keep alive hopes of a top two playoff place. Goals from Wayne Morris (2) and Paddy Gartland helped An Riocht to a 3-11 to 3-9 win. * KYC presents a Registration Night & Health Fair from 7pm on Monday 8th September at Dunavil. Young people, their parents, friends and family members and members of the public are welcome to come along and avail of the many health professionals who will be there and f they wish sign up for Club activities as participants or helpers.
