The Ardglass U-16s started their league
campagin with a hard fought away
victory over Darrag cross.Ardglass' goal
scoring ability was the
differencewith mark armstrong,lee
mcavoy,and con keary all finding the
net.Philip curran,martin halpinand billy
finnegan all made vital tackles and
blocks when darragh had goal scoring
opportunies and Ardglass held out for a
six point win

Ardglass lost their first home game of
the season after concedeing early
goals and could regain the advantage
despite the best efforts of christian
o'connor,martin halpin and philip curran
EDU14FL teconnaught 5-5 Ardglass 3-6
Ardglass lost the opening game of the
2005 campagin after conceding 4 goals
in the first half but mounted a strong
second half comebackled by malachy
crangle and christian o'connor.The
ardglassside battledto close the gap but
goals from stephen rooney and stephens
magennis and points from chris
armstrong,david maginn and tony darragh
were not enough to take the points

The home side won this Lecale derby by
the narrowest of margins,although the
ardglass side led throughout the
kilclief lads came back strong with
three
late second half goals .Ardglass
dominated the first half,aided by a
strong
wind they led 1-6 to 0-0 at half time
with stephen rooney the goal
scorer.the home side continued to
dominate the second half after kilclief
scored a goal with the first attack of
the second half.Rooney replied with
his second goal and chris armstrong
added another along with points from
half backs adam Millar and tony
Darragh.kilclief used the wind to their
advantage in the final 10 minutes but
ardglass defended strongly to hold out
for a desevred win
EDU12FL Ardglass 1-2 Ballykinlar 2-9
ballykinlar put in a good all round
performance in ardtole on sunday
evening,while ardglass stuggled to
contain the numberous b'kinlar attacks
.however adam mulhall,john feenan and
brendan mcevoy were the best players
for the home side.
all the U12 squad would like to wish
david armstrong get well soon after his
recent training ground injury
ACFL DIV 3 ARDGLASS 0-14 TULLYLISH 0-5
Ardglass started their league campaign
with a victory over Tullylish on a
bright and breezy sunday afternoon at
Ardtole.The home side played with the
wind in the first half and dominated the
midfield sector,scores from chris
degans,mick magee and a wonderful
sideline point from paul mccargo put the
home side in front before tullylish
tried to get back in the game creating
four goal chances,one rattled the
crossbar and the other three where saved
by Ardglass' netminder Richie
Fitzpatrick,futher points from
degans,magee
and full foward chris polly gave the
home side a seven point advantage
before tullylish pulled two back in the
last few minutes of the half
Ardglass' midfield pairing of degans and
mccargo continued to dominate the
ariel battles and the half-time
introduction of veteran Barry Kearney
added
some experence to the youthful Ardglass
attack led by minors ciarian dorrian
and liam mullan ardglass extended their
lead to nine.Tullylish replied with
a couple of long range scores aided by
the strong breeze and a 14 yard
free,this was to be their last score as
Ardglass increased their lead
through Johnny o'connor(2) and frees
from mullan and degans,chris laird had
a goal bound effort punched over the bar
after martin curran had found him
in space.This was a all round team
peformance with defence,midfield,attack
and goalkeeper fitzpatrick all on form

at the races this saturday night in
the green hieghts @8.30
