Ardglass notes - 29th June 2005


The seniors had a two point win over Glenn at Ardtole on Friday night,in a competive match the home side held their nerve for a two point victory which nudges them closer to a play off spot

 

The Reserves had a comfortable win over Bryansford on sunday evening and raced into a 0-10 to 0-1 lead while Mark Feenan and Bobby Magee had goal chances the keeper denied them on both occasions,while David Feenan commanded the the defence.Bryansford scored three goals in the second half but it was'nt enough as a Paul O'Shea goal and points from John Mullan and Paul Smyth seen Ardglass ease to a 1-15 to 3-3 victory.

 

The under -12s had back to back victories this week,They won their first home match against Killyleagh on monday evening with Mark Degans and David Armstrong impressive throughout.The second victory came away to Dundrum on sunday afternoon with the Dundrum defence unable to contain the Clarke brothers Michael and Darren.Ciaran Dorrian's young team will now being aiming for a Hat-trick of wins the next time out

 

The under 16s lost at home to Kilclief on Tuesday evening ,The first half was close with only three points difference at the break,however Kilclief pulled Away in the Second Half as Ardglass wasted too much possesion.The under 14s also lost at home to Drumaness on Thursday after squandering a 12 point lead at half-time

 

Ardglass G.A.C. Golf classic and development draw

Ardglass are running a joint golf classic with loughinisland on the 9th of September at Downpatrick golf course, anyone interested in sponsoring a Hole or a Tee box or entering a team should contact Paddy O’Shea (44841777)

In conjunction with the golf classic the two clubs are promoting a development draw priced at five pounds the prizes include Holidays for four in Turkey and Spain for two weeks includes flights and transfers.

Summer Camps The Club will be hosting a coaching summer camp from 15th - 19th of August for boys and girls aged 8-12 from 2.00pm-5.00pm , for further details contact Paul O'Shea (44842744)
