preparing for the last
couple of months for the
big kick off.
On Easter Monday the
seniors travel to
Darragh Cross for an
eagerly awaited East
Down derby before they

Ardglass Minors Vs
Dromara Minors
(05/04/2006)
Ardglass and Dromara
minors battled it out at
Ardtole on Wednesday
night. It wasn't to be
an easy task for the
Ardglass men as Dromara
previously drew with
them in there first
meeting of the season
and knew what they were
in for. However the
Ardglass men led by half
time; by some important
scores from Michael
Magee, Matthew Rooney
and Stephen Rooney.
The Ardglass men came
out strong in the second
half taking a few more
needed scores from
Rooney, Magee and
Telford to secure the
game along with goals
from Daniel Fitzsimons
and Michael Magee. Magee
and Mark Feenan were
both received second
yellow cards in the
second half which gave
Dromara the ability to
claim back much needed
scores. But the Ardglass
defence consisting of
Mark Lappin, Mark
Armstrong, Malachy
Crangle, Paulo Ross,
Martin Halpin and Mark
Feenan denied Dromara's
last gasp points.
Goalkeeper Daniel Murphy
had a great game in
nets.
Ardglass Minors Vs
Bredagh Minors
(09/04/2006)
Ardglass and Bredagh
have not come against
each other this season
as yet, as a previous
arrangement was
postponed due to weather
conditions. This was to
be no easy task for the
seasiders as Bredagh
were in an unbeaten run
this season to date.
The first half started
with a penalty for
Ardglass taken by
Matthew Rooney who had
no doubt where to place
the ball. Followed by
points and a second goal
for Ardglass from
Michael Magee. Bredagh
fought back to get a
goal and a few scores
before the break but
Ardglass still lead the
score line by half time.
The second half was well
fought by both sides
with Ardglass striking
first with points from
Magee, Rooney and Brian
Crangle followed by a
needed goal from Mark
Armstrong to wrap up
game by 5 points for the
Ardglass boys.
** NEXT GAME is against
St Johns on
Wednesday 12th April
2006. All players
are asked to be at the
corner for 5:30pm
sharp. **
Senior Challenge Game
Ardglass v St Paul’s
(Belfast)
Ardglass lost a hard
fought match against a
determined Antrim side
at Ardtole on Sunday
Afternoon. Ardglass
conceded three goals,
one of which was from
the penalty spot and
fell to a five point
defeat. Former Antrim
Keeper Sean Mc Greevy
saved a first half
penalty and thwarted
several more goal bound
chances.
Martin Curran and Chris
Deegans battled for
possession at midfield
and were instrumental
behind all of Ardglass’
attacks. Sean Paul
Halpin and Matt O’Shea
were tigerish in their
defending giving the
visitors no time on the
ball. Michael Magee and
Paul Smyth scored some
vital points throughout
the game but it was
Ardglass’ failure to
convert goal chances
which denied them
victory.
Camogie at Ardtole
Ardglass hosted a round
of the Camogie national
league for the second
time this season, with
Down hosting neighbours
Armagh . The Down side
had a five point win
which means the Camogs
of Down remain unbeaten
at Ardtole after their
draw with Clare last
month.
