Minors won a
well fought
battle in
Tullylish on
Wednesday
evening to
bring them
into the Semi
Final of the B
Championship.
Ardglass were
missing
several key
players
including
James Telford
due to injury
and were 2
points down at
half time.
However that
didn’t stop
Ardglass with
Patrick James
and Karl
O’Neill
scoring
Ardglass’s 2
vital goals
and the likes
of Magee,
Feenan and
Rooney
tallying
points on the
scoreboard.
Armstrong
played a great
role in
keeping a
clean goal
sheet in full
back along
with Murphy in
nets.
Ardglass’s
best team
performance
came in the
later stages
of the second
half when both
teams were
level at one
stage. *MINOR

Monday
evenings at
6:50pm in
Ardtole – it’s
vital that ALL
players attend
to help
prepare for
the Semi
Final.
The seniors
had a narrow
two point win
over Drumaness
in the league
on Tuesday
night at
Ardtole.
Although it
was not a
great
performance it
was
A vital win in
the Race for a
play off spot.
Goals from
Stephen
Deegans ,
Neill Taggart
and Peter
Kelly secured
the points for
the home side.
The under 14s
chase for the
section C
league title
continued on
Thursday night
at home to St
Paul’s. With
both teams
still in
contention for
the league, A
hungry
Ardglass side
dominated the
first half
giving them a
ten point led
a the break,
and although
the Holywood
side fought
back in the
second half
Ardglass were
never in
trouble after
full forward
John Moore
scored a goal
while under
pressure from
three St
Paul’s
defenders.
Ardglass face
bright and
Killyleagh
this week and
will need
maximum points
to claim the
Title.
The under 16s
travelled to
Darragh Cross
for the their
final game of
the season and
returned home
with the
points after a
two point
victory. The
game produced
ten goals,
five for each
team and a
array of fine
points.
Ardglass
Midfielder
scored 4-3 ,
while Paulo
Ross scored
0-3 from half
back. Ardglass
finished the
season in mid
table after a
poor start to
the season
they finished
strongly with
some good
performances
throughout the
year.
The reserves
returned to
winning ways
away to St
Paul’s on
Sunday
evening, after
conceding 1-1
in the opening
minutes
Ardglass
fought back to
with a goal
from Stephen
Rooney and two
points from
Conall
Milligan, both
making their
first
appearance of
the season for
the reserves.
Both teams
were all
square at the
break however
Ardglass began
to dominate
midfield and
goals from
Philip Curran
and a well
worked goal
involving a
quick one two
between Eamon
McEvoy and
Edward Magee
which McEvoy
finished to
the net.
Ardglass won
with five
points to
spare and have
three league
games
remaining.
Under10s
Training
continues on
Mondays at
6.30 in
Ardtole and
there will be
a Blitz in
Drumaness this
Saturday.
Hurling news
Under 10
Hurling
coaching began
last Thursday
and will
continue over
the next six
weeks on
Thursday’s @
6.20 in
Ardtole. All
Hurls and
Helmets will
be provided
and Down
Hurling
Development
manager John
Crossey will
be coaching
the children.

or under 14s
interested in

Coaching

year the club
is celebrating

year in its
current form
and will be

dance in the
Millbrook
Lodge Hotel on
Saturday 11th
November.
