The
seniors good run of
results came to an end
on Thursday evening
when they fell to a
Dundrum side in good
form. This was an all
round poor display by
Ardglass , however
Dundrum were worthy
victors on the night
as they beat Ardglass
by double scores 4-2
to 2-6. Stephen
Deegans was the pick
of the Ardglass
players on the night.
The
senior ladies also
suffered a defeat this
week at home to Newry
Shamrocks, Ardglass
led throughout most of
the game only for the
visitors to finish
stronger in the final
quarter. Newry edged
the game by 3 points
although Ardglass were
unlucky not to secure
a draw as they had a
goal ruled out in the
final minutes.
The
under 16s suffered a
defeat away to
Killyleagh on Tuesday,
Ardglass travelled
with a weakened team
as several players
failed to arrive and
let their team mates
down, The team was
bolstered by some
promising under 14s.
Although they were
defeated there were
superb performances
from Patrick James,
Paulo Ross and Stephen
Rooney.
Ardglass GAC and
Ardglass FC held a
joint Golf classic at
Ardglass Golf Club,
with over twenty four
balls competing there
was a tight finish at
the end with a team
Captained by Barry
Rocks finished on 98
points, while a John
Hynds led team came
second on 97 points
and only beat Darren
Mc Shane’s team after
a count back. Conor
Trainor won the
longest drive on the
18th
fairway.
The
annual Down Summer
camp was held in
Ardtole last week with
over twenty children
enjoying excellent
coaching for 4 hours
every day. All the
children had a great
time and received a
Full kit a kit bag and
a water bottle. Many

their efforts
throughout the week.
Emmett Lennon Memorial
Cup
The
Emmett Lennon cup was
donated to the club
some years ago by the
Lennon family in
memory of Emmett who
was a founding member
of the Club in 1971.
However at present the
Cup cannot be located,
if anyone has any
information to it’s
whereabouts could they
please contact any
committee member.
