Ardglass GAC Notes

Seniors update

The senior footballers recorded two victories in the last week. The first at home to Dundrum. This was the first home game of the season at Ardtole and a sensational second from teenager Liam Mullan saw him score 2-5 and ensured Ardglass gained two points despite a spirited late comeback by the Baysiders.

The Second match saw Ardglass travel to Clann Na Banna and after a strong second half performance the visitors finished with four points to spare. Over the two games Paul Mc Cargo was defensively sound at Full Back while the Deegans brothers were reunited at Midfield for the first time in a few seasons. While young Mullan is regaining his fitness and form of last season.

Next game at home to Teconnaught this Friday @7.30

Under 14s @ Feile

The under 14s travelled to Ballykinler for this years feile competition. In the first game they had a great 4-5 to 0-0 win over Teconnaught. In the second game they were level with Loughinisland however the Bluesmen pulled away for a strong finish of 4-4 to 0-2. In the final game they faced group leaders Ballykinler and again lost out after a strong first half. Throughout the competions there were strong performances from David Kearney, Ciaran Mallaghan and Daniel Maginn.

Next match at home to Ballykinler @7.15

Summer Camp

The GAA football summer camp will be returning to Ardtole between 4-7 July from 10am to 2.30pm each day. Further information and application forms can be obtained from Paul O’Shea (44842744) or at -www.vhiculcamps.gaa.ie

Other news

Go Games training for all under 12/10s and 8s takes place every Tuesday @ 6.20 till 7.30 in Ardtole. Under 12 Go Games competition start this Sunday while under 10s start in early June.

The senior ladies delayed start to the season starts on Saturday away to Carryduff at 7.00.

Upcoming events

Night Of the Races will now be held in the Green Heights on Sat 20th May @ 8.30. Details of annual Golf day and Dinner dance will be available shortly.
