Ardglass 2-10 Saul 1-04
Kyran Smyth and Ardglass’s first league game of the season couldn’t have went down any better with a superb performance and win over derby neighbours Saul on Sunday at Ardtole. Ardglass played against the wind in the first half and trailed Saul 0-02 to 1-02 at the break. Michael Magee (1-03) was the seasiders man of the match putting in a great performance from midfield along with Liam Mullan (0-2), Chris Taggart (0-3) scoring an array of points. Eamon McEvoy captained the side and both Ardglass goals were scored in the second half by Paul Mc Cargo (1-0) and Michael Magee. Other scores came from Ciaran Dorrian (0-1) and Chris Deegan (0-1). Ardglass marked tight at the back for the duration of the second half with Aaron Beattie, Sean Paul and Marty Mc Vickors all putting in a great game along with some great saves from Ardglass keeper Richard Fitzsimons. Subs Brian Crangle and Phillip Gill replaced Marty Curran and James Telford throughout the game.

Senior / Reserve and Minor training continues on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Ardtole from 7:00pm.

The deadline for all membership money has passed for all age levels. Again, the system of no pay, no play is issued. Membership for seniors and reserves costs £25, Minors £20, Under 16s £10, Under 12s/10s £5. It would be helpful if any outstanding membership funds could be paid ASAP.
