GAC 40th Anniversary Dinner Dance - 12/02/03
The Carrickdale proved a lovely venue
for the Attical 40th Anniversary which was held on
Saturday the 1st February 2003. The Dinner Dance was
to mark the special milestone of Attical's GAC 40
year of dedication to the gaelic games in Upper Mourne.
Club Chairman Seamus Quinn gave
a review of the work carried out over the last forty
years by the Attical club and its members, he also
paid tribute to deceased members of the club. Praise
for the club was also recieved from the Down County
Board through county board representative Dan McCartan.
Dan spoke very highly of the club highlighting the
work which the club had undertaken in the last year
on the new playing fields and the ongoing plans for
the new club rooms.
The speeches were followed by a "this
is your life" for a very surprised Seamus Quinn.
