Football Notes:

The Atticall Reserve team travelled to Ballymartin recently where they faced the home side. Atticall conceded two early goals, but did have plenty of opportunities to make up for this afterwards. However the great goalkeeping techniques of the Ballymartin side proved an obstacle to Atticall getting on top of the game. With the introduction of Kevin McCulla, Paul Grant and Kevin Grant, the Atticall side improved, but in the end it was not enough and Ballymartin won the game by five points.

The minor team on the other hand put up a good team performance against the Shamrocks and managed to come away with a 2 – 7 to 2 – 4 win.

The under-14s were unfortunate to be beaten by the Rostrevor A team by 4 – 10 to 2 – 10 in the B Championship.

The under-12 team were also unlucky when they played a recent Championship game against a bigger and stronger Bosco team.
