Attical Seniors Progress to IFC Final

The Atticall senior team progressed to the final of the Intermediate Championship, when they went up against Tullylish in St Patrick’s Park in Newcastle recently. Atticall got off to a flying start with two quick goals from Mark Doran. A goal and five points followed this before the halftime whistle was blown.

The halftime scores were 3 – 5 to Tullylish’s four points. Atticall showed they were determined to win the match when they came back in the second half and scored eight points with no response from the opposition.

Tullylish finally came back with two points before Atticall finished off the match with a point from Oliver Sloan and a goal from Gary Morgan. The fulltime scores were Atticall 4 – 14 to Tullylish 0 – 6. Congratulations to the entire team on their outstanding overall performance and to man of the match Louis Sloan.

The team will now meet Drumgath in the final of the Championship.
