Aughlisnafin Club Notes - 25th Feb 2008


 

 

Ben Willoughby, club chairman, presents lotto jackpot winner Ann Morgan with her cheque for £6,000. Well done Ann.


The recent poker classic was won by Donal Bell and runner up was Patricia Quinn. Thanks to all who supported the event.
Well done to Shauneen Brennan, Ciara Gibney, Rosaleen Brennan, Gerard Flanagan and Eugene Flanagan who represented the Fin club in the ballad group section in the East Down final of Scor. They came 3rd. Also well done Eugene Flanagan who represented the club in the solo section and Badger Macdonald, Ben Willoughby and Wayne Pickering who took part in the quiz. Thank you to everyone who supported them.

Fin ladies training continues on Monday and Thursday nights at 7 pm at Dundrum pitch. New members welcome. The ladies league will be starting Easter Tuesday. All players must attend training.
The mens training continues on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7pm sharp in Annsborough. Need everyone there lads. No excuses.
There will be another challenge match this Sunday at Annsborough. Time to be confirmed.
The Fin put in a good performance against Clonduff in a recent challenge match. We need to keep up the effort and improve our level of performance lads.
The youth coaching sessions continue on Saturday mornings at 11am in Fin Hall. All children should bring their own water bottle. New members most welcome.
Numbers : 3, 8, 10, 20. There were 5 £10 winners.

The club offers its deepest sympathy to Gerard Lynch, former manager of the ladies team, on the death of his mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family circle at this sad time.
