Aughlisnafin
Club Notes 2nd June 2008
The Fin seniors were
away to Aghaderg on Friday night going
down 5-17 to 0-7. There wasn’t
as much between the teams as the result
would suggest. The Fin played some
good football but again failed to
take their scores at crucial stages
in the game. Aghaderg had a standout
at full forward who made the difference
for them.
There were good performances
from Rory McMullan, Sean Willoughby,
Kevin Walker and Rory McDonald, now
in his familiar position rather than
between the sticks. Wayne Pickering
returned to the net minding duties
pulling off some cracking saves and
his kickouts were good. All in all
this game was a learning curve and
the management and players can take
the positives from the game and work
on the weaknesses.
Team : W Pickering,
