The young members of the Fin who
played their first ever match against
St Johns at half time in the senior
game. It was arranged to give the
under 8s and under 10s the opportunity
to put their newly found skills
in to practice. The kids really
enjoyed it and we thank St Johns
for the invitation to play and hope
to arrange a return game when the
two senior teams meet again. Well
done kids.
The youth coaching
sessions continues every Saturday
at 11 am. New members welcome.
The seniors were
beaten on Friday by St Johns 2-12
to 1-3. The Fin were missing some
key players through injuries and
suspensions but that is no excuse
as they have a strong panel this
season with equally good players
as cover for every position. They
put in a hardworking performance
and just need to keep plugging away
for that elusive win. Next game
is away to Bright this Friday night.
Senior training continues on Monday
and Wednesday at 7 pm in Annsborough.
The ladies train on Monday and Thursday
nights.
