Aughlisnafin
Club Notes 5th Oct 2008
The seniors are at
home to neighbours St Johns this weekend.
It will be tough game to come in to
with St Johns the Junior Football
Championship winners having numerous
competitive outings recently. The
Fin on the other hand have gone 3
weeks without a competitive game but
we will be up for it to try and give
a good account of ourselves.
The Fin youth travelled to Warrenpoint
to take part in the U10 blitz. They
found it tough going with the majority
of our players aged between 7 and
9 but they gave a good account of
themselves. They thoroughly enjoyed
themselves and we thank St Peters
Warrenpoint for the invitation to
play. Training continues on Saturday
mornings at 12pm.
The club's annual Awards Presentation
night will held in the Millbrook on
Saturday 1st November. Tickets are
now available. Please contact any
member of the committee. Please note
that it is important that we know
the numbers beforehand so if you intend
going please purchase your ticket(s)
as soon as possible.
Finally the club and committee congratulate
Anne Marie Quinn on her recent marriage.
I am told it was a great day and we
wish you and Paul all the best for
the future.
Lotto numbers : 4, 8, 15, 18. Three
numbers matched by Eileen Flanagan
and B Deegan. New jackpot £3,700.
