Aughlisnafin Club Notes 15th Sept 2008

Aughlisnafin were away to Dromara last week for a game played in atrocious weather conditions and bad light. Both teams acquitted themselves well but Dromara ran out winners 3-7 to 2-5. Scorers for the Fin were Shane Mooney 1-2, Shane McCann 1-0, Sean Ladd 0-2, Rory McMullan 0-1.

Senior training continues on Monday and Wednseday nights at 6.30 pm. Two league games left. Need to finish the season with a that elusive win.

All Down clubs will receive 3 tickets for the All Ireland Football Final Kerry versus Tyrone. If any fully paid up member wishes to be considered for a ticket please give your name to club secretary Séan Willoughby ( contact number 07821 434 254 ). The deadline will be 9 am Thursday morning. First 3 names drawn will have option to purchase. Tickets priced at £56.

The club's end of season dinner dance will be held on Saturday 1st November. Further announcements will be made in next few weeks.

The under 10s hope to take part in the u10 blitz in Warrenpoint on Saturday 4th October. More details next week. Training for the youth continues on Saturday mornings from 12 to 1 pm.
