St Patrick’s Under
16’s
St Patrick’s, which
is an amalgamation of Ballela
and Ballyvarley, won the League
final on Sunday evening in
Liatroim against a strong
and physical Liatroim team.
The final score was 3-14 to
2-08. St Patrick’s played
very well and the skilful
hurling won them through in
the end and the whole squad
deserves much credit for their
performances throughout the

Club Lotto is now a massive
£4200
Last weeks draw was in the
Gall bog Bar with the numbers
drawn by Martin Mc Cann and
Tom Montgomery. The numbers
were: 12, 18, 20 and 24. There
were 5 £10 winners who
matched 3 numbers. They were:
Martin Mc Cann, Ann Kennedy,
Joe Burns, Leona Burns and
Lynne Burns.
Saturday nights draw was not
made and was instead drawn
at the Clubhouse on Monday
night after the Committee
meeting. More news in next
weeks bulletin.
This week’s draw will
be in Doyle’s pub with
the numbers drawn by John
Doyle and Bernard Cosgrave.

Night at the Races
Ballela GAC are organising
a fund raising night in The
Depot Bar, Rathfriland on
Friday 26th October. This
is a family night and we urge
all members and parishioners
to support this event. Ballela
is a self-sufficient club
and needs to raise money to
keep the club active and to
develop the facilities we
have. Anyone wishing to contribute
or sponsor a race please contact
any committee member for further
information.
Indoor Hurling Tournament
The club is going to be competing
in an indoor hurling tournament
in Banbridge sports centre.

Juvenile Presentation Night
Will be held in the sheep
bridge Inn, Newry on Friday
28th September at 7 pm please
contact Brendan Mc Clure to
confirm your attendance.
The Under 10 and Under 12s
will be awarded their prizes
on the night.
Ballela Annual Dinner Dance
The Annual Dinner Dance and
Presentation Night will be
held in the Anglers Rest on
Saturday 24th November, once
again we urge all members
and parishioners to attend
this event and support the
club.
