Club Lotto is now a massive £4200
This weeks draw was in the Gall bog Bar with the numbers drawn by Martin Mc Cann and Tom Montgomery. No draw was made this week due to the All Ireland final.
Last weeks draw was made in the clubhouse after the Meeting. Bernard Mc Cusker and John Doyle drew the numbers. The numbers were: 1, 10, 15, and 17. Donald Mc Cusker matched 3 numbers and won £10. Joe Cosgrave won the sellers draw.
This weeks Draw will be in Mc Cuskers Pub with the numbers drawn by Shane Burns and Noel Burns with the Jackpot standing at £4200.

Club Merchandise
New Ballela club merchandise is available to buy from the club. All the Garments are very reasonably priced and we urge all players, members and parents to show their colours for the club and avail of this excellent opportunity to purchase club merchandise. Please contact Noel Burns for any further information.

Night at the Races
Ballela GAC are organising a fund raising night in The Depot Bar, Rathfriland on Friday 26th October. This is a family night and we urge all members and parishioners to support this event. Ballela is a self-sufficient club and needs to raise money to keep the club active and to develop the facilities we have. Anyone wishing to contribute or sponsor a race please contact any committee member for further information.

Ballela Sports Day
Ballela is holding its annual sports day on Sunday 9th September at Pairc Na Naomh. There will be lots of activities during the day for all the family and the highlight of the day will be the Senior Camogie team playing the senior hurling team. There will be an
underage tournament involving the U-11 hurling teams from Ballela, Camlough, Clonduff and Sean Treacy’s, more information about the tournament is available from Brendan Mc Clure. All games will last 15 minutes, starting from 2 pm. There will be an under 8 game against Ballyvarley starting at 3pm. All players please assemble at Pairc Na Naomh at 1.30pm. Other activities will include Penalty Poc, Poc Fada, Fancy dress, face painting. There will be a burger stand to fight the hunger and a Marquee where you can watch the live sport on offer and enjoy a drink. Barney Greene will be providing the music as usual.


Indoor Hurling Tournament
The club is going to be competing in an indoor hurling tournament in Banbridge sports centre. More information will be available next week or please contact Brendan Mc Clure.

Juvenile Presentation Night
Will be held in the sheep bridge Inn, Newry on Friday 28th September at 7 pm please contact Brendan Mc Clure to confirm your attendance.
The Under 10 and Under 12s will be awarded their prizes on the night.

Ballela Annual Dinner Dance
The Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation Night will be held in the Anglers Rest on Saturday 24th November, once again we urge all members and parishioners to attend this event and support the club.

Ballela AGM
Will be held in the Clubrooms on Sunday 9th December.

Club Fixtures
The minors have a minor championship final coming up against Warrenpoint. No date or venue has yet been set.

The Under 16’s also have a championship match against Clonduff at Pairc Na Naomh; no date has yet been set.

Pairc Na Naomh has been chosen as the venue for the Junior Championship Final, which is between Warrenpoint and Bredagh who beat Ballela in the semi-final. This will take place on Sat 15th September; throw in time yet to be confirmed.

The Camogie Girls may have to play in the Ulster Championship after winning the Intermediate Championship last week. This is yet to be confirmed by the County Board.
