league game on Friday night.
This was the host's first
game in a number of weeks.
Ballela got of
to a good start with goals
from Sean Branniff and Conor
Branniff. Ballyvarley replied
with a goal. The game was
close at this stage before
the home team stepped up the
pressure and scored two goals,
Caolon Heaney and Connor Kelly
and a point from Sean Branniff
pushing forward from midfield.
Ballyvarley scored a goal
before Conor Branniff got
the score of the match a point
from close to the sideline.

Ballela made a number of changes
at half time so as all the
panel would get game time
and tired legs after the week
long Cul Camp in Ballela this
week. The second half was
very competitive with both
sides going close to scoring.
The only score of this half
was a goal from O Magee as
the goal was entering the
last five minutes. Ryan Cunningham
had a good game in midfield
covering back while allowing
his midfield partner Sean
Branniff to push forward.

Ballela under 8 hosted Ballyvarley
in a friendly on Friday night.
After the week long Cul Camp
Ballela had a panel of seventeen
players available for this
game, hopefully this will
be positive for the future
off the club.
Ballyvarley started the brighter
and pressured the Ballela
goal but Niamh McCrory and
Elaine O'Rourke held strong
in defence and when any attacks
which got through, Michael
McGrath dealt with comfortably
in goals.
Ballela then got into the
game with Owen McGreevy his
normal tigerish form in midfield.
More balls were now going
into the forward line and
this lead to three goals for
the home team all scored by
Michael Heaney.

Ballela made a number of substitutions
and position switches at half
time. Ballyvarley again started
the better but were unable
to get past Ronan McCrory
now in goals. Ballela then
settled and pushed forward
with Niamh McCrory and Owen
McGreevy pushing forward from
midfield and Cathal McClure
holding back. This lead to
further goals for the home
side from Niamh McCrory, Owen
McGreevy and another for Michael
Heaney. Kathleen McCormick
and Niamh Burns also went
close to scoring with James
McGrath and James O'Rourke
doing a good job in defence.
Finn McPolin made his debut.
