***Ballymartin
GFC have secured the services of
Ray Tumelty (Newry) as manager of
the senior team for the incoming
season. He will be assisted by Colin
Cunningham and Gerry Quinn. At a
well attended players meeting on
Sunday, Ray relayed his plan for
the 2005 season. Training starts
this Sunday Jan 30th. All players
are to be at Kilkeel Leisure Centre
at 12:15pm ready to start. Cost
per player is £5.00.

***Club members
who have registered for the Foundation
Coaching Course are reminded that
it starts this Sunday January 30th
at 10am Sharp @ St. Columbans.
***The Annual Dinner
Dance is on Friday February 25th
in the Balmoral Hotel Warrenpoint,
Music by 'Not All There'. Tickets
are priced £20 and are available
from any committee member. Numbers
need to be known by Feb 14th.
***A Referee’s
training course is being run by
the County Board starting on Monday
February 7th , continuing Saturday
12th and finishing on Monday 14th.
If anyone is interested they should
contact Mary Cunningham ASAP.
***The ladies Senior
team are asked to attend a players
meeting in the Ballymartin Inn on
Monday January 31st @ 7:15pm sharp
to make arrangements for the coming
season. All new players are very
welcome.
***A limited number
of under-age Kit-bags have been
ordered and should be in stock early
february. If you would like to secure
one, please leave your name and
a £5.00 deposit with Mary
Cunningham
***The new Club
lotto was officially launched on
Sunday night Jan 23rd. The winning
numbers were, 1, 2, 4, 21. There
was no Jackpot winner but 5 people
came up trumps with 3 numbers and
share £60.00. This was a fantastic
effort by the whole club with the
amount taken in nearly tripling
what we had anticipated. High Fives
all round and again everyone is
asked to keep the momentum going
in the coming weeks.
***Club Membership
is now due, Adults £20, Juvenile
(U-18 on/after Jan 1st) £10
and Family Membership £60
(2 Adults + 2 or more children u-18).
This year everyone is required to
fill out a membership form and these
are being distributed at the moment.
All returns are needed by Feb 14th
to enable registration.
***There are still
a few copies of the Down Year Book
available from Mary Cunningham,
Priced £6.00.
