Hurlers in Ulster Senior League
Semi-final
County Down have representatives in the
Semi-finals of the inaugural Ulster
Senior League with city side Bredagh
beating Aodh Ruadh in the Quarter-finals
in Ballyshannon on July 1st in Banagher.
Eamon Mulvenna's charges won comfortably
enough, by 1-15 to 1-7, and will play in
the last four on July 29th.
The Bredagh panel was Rory Galway, Brian
Connolly, Fintan McDonnell, Charlie
Dillon, Liam McCollum, Danny Hughes,
Stevie McGettick, Colin Murray, Rory
McCaughey, Eoghan Donnelly, Seamus
McKillop, Ian Galway, Paul Doole, Ultan
Power, Paul Moriarty, Michael Whyte,
Colin O'Neill, Paddy Byrne, Matthew
McAfee, Michael Mullan and Paul Boyle.
Senior hurling only returned to Bredagh
in 2005 but they are easily the most
active team in the club, having played
twelve League games so far this year, as
well as the Betsy Gray Cup and five
games in the Ulster League, which has
taken them to Killeavy, Monaghan Harps,
Clonoe and Banagher.
