Bank of Ireland U10 Boy's Football Tournament

Saturday saw the Second Annual Carryduff GAC Bank of Ireland u10 Boys Footb= all Tournament take place.

Twelve teams took part in this year's competition which involved teams from= Teconnaught, Castlewellan, Downpatrick, Bredagh, St Gall's (Antrim), St. P= atrick's (Antrim), St. Teresa's (Antrim), St. Brigid's (Antrim) Lamh Dhe= =E1rg (Antrim) with St. Enda's (Tyrone) and Carryduff (two teams).

In the group stages the Carryduff side A progressed to the A Championship o= n points difference by beating Teconnaught by a goal and drawing 0-1 each w= ith St Enda's.

In the A section they met the other group winners, Castlewellan, St Gall's = and St Bridget's. Section B saw Downpatrick, St Enda's, St Teresa's and Bre= dagh competing with Teconnaught, St Patrick's, Lamdh Dhearg and Carryduff B= fighting it out in Section C.

It was the Carryduff men who stormed to the Section A title winning each of= their games. The first against St Bridget's by 1-00 0-02, the second again= st Castlewellan by 1-01 0-00 and the third against last year's Champions St Gall's by 1-02 to 0-01 St Gall's.

Local rivals Bredagh were the victors in the B Section with Teconnaught prevailing in the C Section. It was good to see all three winners from County Down!

The winners were presented with their Trophies and medals by our Guest of H= onour, triple All Ireland Winner, Sean O'Neill.
