Carryduff U16's moved smoothly
into the next round of the champioship with a
facile victory against a game but outmatched Dromara
team.
The match as a contest was over
by the 13th minute by which stage Carryduff had
notched up 2-4 without reply. Dromara opened their
account with a free(15) but Carryduff's reply
was a goal(16) a Sean McCreesh won ball from a
45 and shot home.
Dromara did engineer a goal chance
but Paddy Craig cleared brilliantly with keeper
O'Reilly beaten. Carryduff continued to rack up
the scores and by half time the score read:

Dromara started the second half
brightly and Carryduff suffering squandermania
were outscored 4 points to 2 in the first ten
minutes much to the delight of the home support.
Carryduff however stepped up
a gear again and notched 1-5 without reply between
the 11th and 18th minutes. The match meandered
towards its conclusion as Carryduff took points
when goals were available and flurry from Dromara
in the last five minutes yielded a sequence of
wides.
This was a match from which little
could be taken as Carryduff never had to get out
of second gear, however a win is a win.
