The u16s Ladies' got their season off to the best possible start with a fantastic 2-02 to 3-01 victory over local rivals Bredagh at the Dub on Sunday.

Down Ladies Beat Antrim In Carryduff

Carryduff held its first inter-county game when Down Ladies took on Antrim in the National League on Sunday afternoon.

The first half saw a very tight game with Down in the lead but a determined Antrim side keeping in touch all the way.

The second half saw the Down Ladies experience and class shine through as they recorded a comfortable 5-16 to 1-02 win.

Minors Get Both Points In Ardglass

The Minors got right back into the league title race with an important 1 point victory over league leaders Ardglass in Ardglass on Sunday afternoon.

Man of the Match Sean Molloy proved to deadly accurate from both the placed kick and from play scoring seven of Carryduff's nine points, Ronan McLoughlin and Darren Laverty getting the other two.

Final score Ardglass 0-08 Carryduff 0-09. Next up is Castlewellan at home on Sunday at 12pm.

Seniors Beaten By St John's

A weakened Senior team welcomed St John's of Belfast to Carryduff on Sunday afternoon but finished with a two point loss in a very close and competitive game.
