Carryduff Notes 05th Nov 2007

U13 Boys Notice

The U-13A team had 2 games this weekend. On Saturday they beat Drumaness 3-09 to 2-04. Carryduff played some very good football from start to finish and were always in control.

On Sunday they played St Pauls and again they were victorious winning 7-11 to 3-02. This was a tougher contest than the result reads but the desire to win carried us through.

The U-13B team marked up their first win of the league away to Dromara with a final score of 1-11 to 3-02. Carryduff fully deserved their victory and it is hoped that this will be the first of many.

Well done to both teams and a big thanks to all the kids that attended the guard of honour on Saturday for Monsignor Bartley.

Training on Wednesday 6.45pm to 8pm with a full attendance required. Those players out injured please contact Paddy to confirm availability for next weekend.

U20s Season Ends

The u20s lost their East Down semi final against Castlewellan at Castlewellan on Sunday afternoon.

The home team built up an early lead to go into the interval six points up. A second half goal put them even further up but a late rally including a spectacular goal from Ronan McLaughlin brought gave Carryduff hope. Despite some further good Carryduff play, Castlewellan ran out winners by 1-15 to 1-08.

Thank You

On behalf of the Executive Committee thank you to all Club members who played such an important role in making Monsignor Bartley's funeral service such a fitting tribute.

Thank you to all those who came and sat with the Monsignor on the Friday evening, those that helped out with stewarding and all the boys and girls from the u12 and u14 squads that formed a very fitting guard of honour. You did the your families, Parish and Club proud.

New Pitch Development Draw

There are less than 4 weeks to go to the New Pitch Development Draw taking place. Everyone needs to make a big effort and sell at least their 12 ticket allocation.

Anyone wishing to return sold tickets or to get some more can phone Paul Bradley on 07713399832.

Tickets are also available to purchase online at www.carryduffgac.com/bigdraw

To date only 122/380 families have returned any tickets with only 77 of those returning the full 12 or more so far. Most of the tickets being returned are coming from families that have already sold their 12. Everyone else needs to play their part too!

Well done to the Senior Ladies who have stormed clear at the top of the team sellers leaderboard. The senior men have sunk to the bottom. Time to get your tickets in!
