Thirds Gain Two Valuable Points

The Thirds season continued this afternoon with an excellent 1-08 to 1-06 victory over Kilcoo in Carryduff.

Carryduff were leading by five points to two at the break but Kilcoo fought back to within a point by mid way through the second half. A high curling ball from Carryduff midfielder Stephen Cullen dropped in to the Kilcoo square were it was met by a thundering fist from second half substitute Eamon Quinn and sent into the back of the net.

Kilcoo responded immediately, sending the ball into the back of the net on the rebound after an excellent point blank save from Cormac McCrory. Carryduff rallied again with two well taken scores from Conall Early and Darragh Brownlee sealing the Carryduff win. The next game takes place against Dundrum, details to follow.
