U12 & U14 presentation
The U12 & U14
boys had an enjoyable trip to Croke Park on
Saturday. 37 players and 6 mentors enjoyed a
guided tour of headquarters, and on return to
Castlewellan, the awards for the year were
presented to, for football, U12 Player of
the year M Cunningham, U12 Most improved player
of the year M Mc Cartan, U14 Player of the year
B Ward, U14 Most improved player of the year S
Brogan, U16 Player of the year D Flannagan, U16
Most improved player of the year M Mc Cabe. For
Hurling, U12 Player of the year R Morgan,
U12 Most improved player of the year R Burns,
U14 Player of the year C Mc Cartan, U14 Most
improved player of the year A Rice. U16 Player
of the year D Morgan, U16 Most improved player
of the year R Laverty. For the girls,
presentations were also made to U14 Player of
the year K Mc Cartan, U14 Most improved player
of the year N Ward, and U16 Player of the year M
Hardy, U16 Most improved player of the year C
Devlin. Special thanks to S Mc Cartan, M Mc
Phillips, C. Keown, N. Mc Veigh, & G. Cairns for
their help on the day. Thanks also to Angela
and her staff for the meals.
Co. Down Handball winners
Congratulations
to handball winners, A Keown and J Croskery,
county Down handball winners. They now
represent RGU in the all-Ireland feile. Good
luck boys.
Scor team
Congratulations
to the Flanagans after winning the ballad
section of the first East Down semi-final of
Scor Sinsear at Kilcoo. Congratulations also to
Ciara Flanagan-Pickering who won the recital
section. Good luck to everyone in the final.
