Seniors The
seniors continued with their fine form of four
wins out of four games in the league with a 2-9,
0-8 win over the ‘Ford’ on Friday night. The
seniors next match is at home to Kilcoo,
Thursday night, 7:00pm at St Malachy's Park.
Holy
Communion meals.
The club is now taking bookings for meals for
Holy Communion day, Saturday 13th
May. As this service is popular, early booking
is advisable.
Feile na
nGael an Duin
: Castlewellan GAC continued to host this year's
Feile na nGael an Duin last Friday and Saturday
at St Malachy's Park. The large crowds were
well entertained with some great skillful play.
Congratulations to all teams with all games
played very sporting. A special thanks to
referees, linesmen and umpires. A special
thanks also to Siobhan Coulter.
Feile results:
Shield Longstone 1-1, Bredagh 0-0. Cup -
Portaferry 3-6, Ballycran 4-6. Best dressed
team: Bredagh. Some photos of the teams, and
the action are available on the club’s website.
Camogie news
Camogie will restart on Saturday the 6th of May
at 10am at the St Malachy's Park. Also please,
any parents, let the coaches know if they can
help as supervisors for a litter pickup on a date yet to be arranged (possible date 20th of May).
Children and coaches hope to raise funds for the
club and an awareness of litter dropping in our town.
