Club Notes
week-ending 17th February
Golf Classic:
St Malachy’s GAC Golf Classic will take place on
Friday 2nd March over the Royal County Down
Championship Course. The cost of entry is £240
per team of four including golf, meal and
entertainment. To sponsor a hole is £400, which
includes entry in booklet, golf, meal and
entertainment. This year we are offering the
discount price of £200 for anyone who wishes to
tee-off before 9.30am and this price includes
golf, meal and entertainment. Many leading GAA
personalities including RTE’s Sunday game
pundit Bernie Flynn, Meath’s Robbie O'Malley,
Offaly’s Richie Connor and Pauric Dunn and
Dublin’s Tommy Carr plus
more will be in attendance and presentation in
St Malachys Clubrooms on the evening of Friday
2nd with music by Granite. Everyone welcome.

Our Quiz team came third in the semi-finals and
well done and thanks to everyone representing
our club. Good luck on Sunday night
Social Club Entertainment.
Saturday 17 Big Sam Murray. Sunday
night fun quiz with charades at 9.00pm. Proceeds
in aid of Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
Training
– Seniors and Minor Hurlers Donard Park every
Wednesday from 7.00pm.
U8 and U10
Gaelic training in High School Mondays 6.30pm
Senior Ladies 7.30pm.
Adult
Footballers meet at Club Sunday 18th
at 9.30am for first collective training session
of season. Paid-up members only. Bring trainers
and own water bottle.
Membership
Fees:
Renewal date is now closed. Adult players cannot
train or play with any club team until fees are
paid in full. Contact Club registrar to make
arrangements for paying before attending next

Juvenile
Registration:
Saturday 17th February 1.00pm to
2.30pm for any children attending Gaelic
coaching or playing for any underage team in
2007 from U8 to U18. Children must be
accompanied by parent/guardian.
Parents/Guardians please consider helping out in
some way with your children's teams
(particularly girl’s teams). Full training will
be given to anyone considering taking up team
coaching and child protection courses and
vetting is mandatory on all adults involved with
any underage team.

Meánrang, Ard Rang in Club rooms.
Ógras
- Irish youth Club for any teenage pupil of
Irish - practice your Irish and learn while
participating in fun activities.There will be no
Ográs this week because of Mid-term. It will
resume Tuesday 20th Feb. New finish time - 5.30
- 6.30. Club is in St. Mal's HS Gym - all
teenage Pupils of Irish from any school welcome.
