With 5 games still to go in the league
our senior men have moved uo to 3rd spot
in the league after a fine victory against
Longstone on Sunday afternoon at the Dublin
Road. It was the first time the pitch has
ben used for an ACFL1 game and despite the
recent inclement weather the surface held
up very well. The game itself was very competitive
from start to finish with both teams in
search of vital league points. The Castlewellan
team saw a number of players line-out in
positions they were unaccustomed to though
this was not obvious as the team as a unit
performed well. Some fine scores and performances
form Colm Flanagan, Liam lennon, Luke Toner
and Kevin Duffin among others saw the Town
claim both points in a victory that was
in the end totally deserved.
