Clonduff 1-11 Castlewellan 1-16
Clonduff hosted Castlewellan at home
on Friday night. They enjoyed good possession and
but for woeful shooting - 8 wides - in the first half
should have had Castlewellan on the run. They shot
another 4 wides in the second half - Castlewellan
had 3 in the entire game!
Sean Curran was brought down in the
square and young Jason Brown, the outstanding player
on the field, lobbed the resultant penalty over the
bar. They had chances for other scores, goals as well
as points, Mickey McVeigh saved brilliantly twice
and prevented one from going over the bar!
Clonduff finished the game with 14
after Gary McDonald was yellow-carded for the second
time.
