Clonduff
Ladies defeated by Loughisland in
IFC Final
Hard luck!
Hard luck to the Clonduff Intermediate
Football Ladies who got beaten in
the final of the championship at
Newry pitch on Saturday, September
4. Clonduff were winning all through
the first half and Lisa Parr scored
a cracker of a goal to put the girls
1-3 lead just after 15 minutes.
The second half was the turning
point for Loughisland as they got
a lucky goal to make the teams level,
but however Clonduff never gave
up fighting the whole match, they
were on top of every ball but they
were unlucky to give away two frees
and Loughisland lead for the last
ten minutes and went on to win the
match. Loughisland were the more
experienced team they’ve been
together for six years and the Clonduff
girls have only been up and going
for 3. Last year Clonduff Juniors
won the League and Championship
so hopefully next year the girls
will have the Intermediate winners
title behind them.
