Darragh came out on top in an exciting
encounter on Sunday at St Patricks
Park Saul. Saul led for most of the
1st half through an early goal, however
Darragh pegged them back with points
from
Eoin Mageean, Brian Canavan, Padraig
Mageean, Mark McMahon and
two from Hugh Murray, to leave the
scores level at half time.
Darragh started strongly in the second
half, and a Padraig Mageean score
was followed by a goal from a penalty
by Hugh Murray. A further point was
added by John McCarthy, however four
unanswered points from Saul left a
point in it. Another Hugh Murray goal
was followed by an instant reply by
Saul as they fired to the net, however
Darragh battled hard and finished
impressively with two John McCarthy
points and a Mark McMahon score sealing
the win.

The
minor team cruised to their second
win of the league campaign to keep
up their 100% record, against St Pauls
on Sunday. Ryan McGreevy and Hugh
Murray domintaed thegame from midfield,
laying on many scores for forwards,
Brian Canavan,
James McLernon and the impressive
Mark McMahon. Goals were scored by
McMahon (3), McLernon, Simon Magee,
and Hugh Murray.
Final score Darragh Cross 6-12 St

Cross creat club history 23/01/2003
Darragh Cross created club history
at their annual general meeting on
Sunday when for the first time they
elected a female chairperson - Una
McClements. Una who has a long association
with the club takes over from Stephen
McGreevy. Liam Murray was returned
as secretary. Several other posts
will be filled at the club's adjourned
AGM. On the managment front former
Fermanagh star Eugene Tracey has stepped
down as manager and is replaced by
Francis Casey and Liam McKenna
