Darragh Cross GAC notes The senior
footballers defeated Saul in a
challenge game on Friday night by 1-13
to 0-7. Next league match is not
scheduled until Sat 23rd September
away to Drumgath.
The reserve
footballers had no game on Sunday when
the referee failed to turn up for
their league game at home to Carryduff.
The club are holding a poker night on
Friday 29th September in the
clubrooms, everyone is welcome.
The Under 14s had a
fine 5-9 to 3-3 win over Dromara in
the league last week. Earlier in the
season Darragh fought back to gain a
draw away to Dromara, but this time
made no mistake and cruised to the
victory. Two goals apiece for Conan
Russell and Shane Murray were added to
by a Matt Hardy goal. There were also
points for Stephen Murray, Conor
McClements and Michael McGreevy.
Darragh had good performances all over
the pitch, Rory Miskelly was confident
in goals, while Donal Mageean and
Conor McStay were solid at the back.
In midfield Steven Murray and Conor
McClements were dominant, while Shane
Murray, Conan Russell and Anton
McGrattan were a constant attacking
threat.
