* The Seniors had their first win on
Friday night with a narrow one point
victory over Carryduff. The final scoreline:
Dundrum 2-08 Carryduff 1-10. This Friday
night the Seniors will make the short
journey to St Johns for Series 3 of
the ACFL Division 3. Training is tonight
(Wednesday) with players requested to
be on the pitch for 7.30pm. There will
also be another session on Sunday morning.
All Reserves are also asked to attend.
* Aughlisnafin made the short trip across the fields to take on the Reserve team on Sunday evening in a challenge match. A squad of around thirty players from the 'Fin along with a massive support converged on Dundrum for what turned out to be a very enjoyable game.
The home side did run out comfortable winners but it was the determination and spirit of the newly formed 'Fin team that shone out.
The final scoreline : Dundrum II's 5-11 Aughlisnafin 1-03.
Dundrum II's: C.King, P.Byrne, D.McGrattan, P.McVerry, S.Garlan, M.McKibbin, M.Rooney, G.Graham (1-02), M.Fitzsimons, C.McShane (0-01), K.Byrne, M.Murphy, R.Smyth (1-05), T.McShane, F.Forsythe (2-01).
Subs: P.McGrattan (1-00), P.Fitzpatrick (0-01), T.Brose (0-01), P.Rooney, M.Walsh.
* Bredagh beat the Minor team by nine points in a League game in Cherryvale last Wednesday night. The Minor's have one game to play in Section B. Congratulations to Martin Melville, Michael Rooney and Conor McShane who have made their way on to the Senior panel in the last few weeks.
* The U-16's defeated Ardglass in a real nailbiter of a game last Thursday night. Final Scoreline: Dundrum 2-11 Ardglass 3-07. The side is away to Carryduff tomorrow night (Thursday).
* An understrength U-14 amalgamation with Ballykinlar suffered a heavy defeat at Fontenoy Park last week against a very strong Liatroim side. Players are encouraged to make the best possible effort to make it to training and matches.
* Club socks and shorts are now available for purchase. Players should contact their respective team mangement for details.
Club jerseys are also now available and can be pre-ordered by contacting John Morgan.
* Amazingly on Sunday evening thirty two years separated the youngest and oldest player on the Reserve team. Also, it looks like big Tony Brose is having very few problems adjusting from Aussie Rules to Gaelic Football. Although Tony there are are slightly different rules for tackling in Gaelic!
