* The Seniors had two games last week.
In the Intermediate Championship they
accounted for Clann na Banna and in
the League they drew with Glenn. The
next opposition is Mitchels in the League
this Friday night in Derrylecka at 7.30pm.
The draw for the quarter finals of the
Championship has pitted the Seniors
against Division 2 side Tullylish. The
Laurencetown men will go into the game
strong favourites to progress against
the team that they accounted for twice
in Division 3 last year. The match is
scheduled for the weekend of the 27th
of August.
Training takes place tonight (Wednesday)
at 7.30pm.
* Due to all the Championship action
taking place over the past week most
teams were inactive apart from the U-12's.
They rounded off a dissappointing season
with a five point defeat at the hands
of St Pauls. Training will take place
this Saturday at 11pm.
* All at the the club wish Conor McKibbin
a speedy return from his shoulder injury.
* The club would also like to thank
Castlewellan GAC for their superb arrangements
for the recent Championship game.
* We are running our annual golf classic
on 10 Sept 2004 at Downpatrick Golf
Club. There are many prizes on the day,
including a chance to win a new Renault
Megane kindly provided by McKibbin Motors,
Clough for a hole-in-one at the Par
3 11th!
There are still some tee offs available
with each fourball costing
£120. For further details and
information on how to become a sponsor
of the event check out our website at
